I have started reading '
Matthew Collins: Getting Into Australia: The Complete Immigration Guide to Gaining a Short or Long-term Visa' and so far it has covered a brief introduction to the countries history, geography, schooling system, type of work in geographical states and it's medical system. It has so far not been very involved and the read is brief enough to titilate your tounge. I'm still quite near the beginning of the book and so I still have plenty to learn.
I have also begun reading '
Bill Bryson: Down Under', again I am only a short way through the book, but I am enjoying it. I am certainly interested in having a trip on the train that travels approximately 2720 miles across the country, or continent should I say? The journey goes from
Sydney, through Adelaide and on to Perth, through some of the most uninhabitable places on Earth. The journey is run by Australia's
Great Southern Railway.
Although it's a long journey, initially as a tourist I think it would be extremely interesting.
